Once you have formed your small groups, you will need to: Allocate a role to each member-
Leader- guides team.
Mentor- inspires team.
Scribe- takes notes.
Reporter- takes key part in presenting ideas.
Brain storm what family, community, state and Australian celebrations you know of (Scribe will do the writing).
From your list, decide which celebrations each member will research (Leader will guide this).
Download the Celebrations Chart, and fill it in using the available Resources to research the attributes of the celebrations (Leader and Mentor).
Regroup, and discuss what you have discovered (Mentor will help team to communicate research).
Put the information from the Celebrations Chart onto the Calendar (Reporter).
Allocate two members of the group to print off the Celebrations Charts and the Calendar and stick them in the Events Book (This will be up to your team to decide who is best suited to this role). This will be available for everyone to check when they want to know what happens on a particular day of celebration.
